About Calgary Avansino:
After moving to London in 2000, Calgary worked her way through the ranks at British Vogue, from editor to the assistant to beauty editor, wellbeing editor, and ultimately, executive fashion director and digital project director until 2013.
Avansino left her full-time role at Vogue in 2013 to become a contributing editor. She wrote a weekly column for Vogue & The Sunday Times Style and runs her own health and wellbeing website, calgaryavansino.com, and is the author of Keep It Real: Create a Healthy, Balanced and Delicious Life - For You and Your Family which was published in February 2016. http://amzn.to/1PNtWGq

Just in time for Valentine's Day! Please join Renowned Silhouette Artist Karl Johnson at our store where he will be creating hand cut silhouette portraits! Each one takes just minutes and all ages are welcome even the squirmy ones. Original Silhouettes are $30. Payment is made at the event. Please reserve one time slot per person, as duplicates are cut at the same time. Make sure to reserve your spot here as space is limited.

Class Descriptions 

Story Time with Jamaroo

JAMaROO Kids’ Storytime Program is designed to enrich children’s imagination and creativity. It is their goal to broaden the student’s experiences of the world in which they live. They will be providing the students with an introduction to cultures and traditions from all over the world, encouraging them to be respectful to others. Stories can come from the world's oral traditions, fables, parables, fairy tales, folktales, myths and legends. Using the art of stroytelling as well as the use of specially chosen books they bring each story to life. Somes this will include the use of puppets and other visual aids. Other times it may incoraporate the use of song, dance, and/or theater. These drop-in classes are $15 for 1 child or $20 for sibilings. Cash preferred as there is a $2 credit card processing fee.

Parent Tot Music & Movement with Jamaroo

These Parent Tot Classes (for ages 0-3 years) give Moms and Dads the opportunity to sing and dance with their little ones. During these classes, we'll sing traditional songs and learn original ones. Parents and children will dance to music from around the world and play with a variety of simple instruments. Children will also have the opportunity to play with puppets, rhythm sticks, streamers, bean bags, and other fun props. These drop-in classes are $15 for 1 child or $20 for sibilings. Cash preferred as there is a $2 credit card processing fee.

Baby Music Class with Jamaroo

Dance with Miss Anna

Toddler Ballet - A precious and imaginative ballet class to enjoy with your little dancer as they are introduced to the basic fundamentals of ballet. This class is for children ages 18 months up to 5 years old. One participating adult is required for each child in attendance under 2 years.

Hip-Hop 3-4
High energy hip-hop/jazz class learning stretches, basic technique and choreographed dance routines to fun "kid-friendly" music. This class is for 3 and 4 year olds and does not require adult participation.

Each class is offered on a drop-in basis and is $20 per child.

Let's All Sing Along Music Series

For children newborn to 4 years old. This entertaining music program stimulates a child’s cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development by incorporating vocal development, movement, listening and expression. Children experience various instruments, singing, storytelling, and dancing games from around the world. Children will learn about pitch, rhythm, musical notes, symbols and much more!  The drop-in rate will be $20 per class.
